Background (Challenges)
After finishing the outline for the Using Google Forms for Data Collection course, I needed to write out the script from start to finish, ensuring that I covered all of the important content and steps that aligned with my course goal and objectives. My process for this involved walking through step-by-step every feature of Google Forms and then figuring out how best to speak about and explain each part conversationally. I ended up discovering more features that I wanted to cover, which made the script-writing process take longer than anticipated.

Solution
Once I finished the entire script, I went back to determine any adjustments needed for how best to break it up into easily digestible learning segments. I wanted to have the right balance between the visual organization on slides with audio covering key information paired with the step-by-step tutorial screencast videos and skill checks or practice opportunities using Storyline. I ended up making multiple minor revisions this script to try and fine tune this balance. Also, as I started recording audio for the first segments, I adapted some of the language as I read aloud as needed.

Results
I do think that overall, this script is effective in covering the key features of Google Forms that it intends to cover and walks the user through each of them step-by-step in a conversational tone. However, I do think that if this were created in a space where it could receive feedback from colleagues or stakeholders, it would be improved through others having the opportunity to identify areas that need further explanation or clarification. I also have only completed a course sample for this script, so I think that more adaptations and adjustments to the script would naturally occur as I read through it aloud to record audio.
